A First Experience

So have you ever made bread? I mean like, from scratch? Not cheating in the bread machine, but actually putting all the ingredients in a bowl, mixing it and baking it in the oven? I can now say that I have. Finally at the age of 25 I have now made bread from scratch. Banana Bread, for that matter!

My friend Jamie and I quadrupled the recipe the other night and made four loaves of bread! It was so fun, and easy too. Though I got the messy job of putting the bananas in and breaking them into little pieces as I did it. If you haven't made banana bread before, just know that you use bananas at their ripest stage, a stage to where you would no longer eat them, but this is the perfect consistency for bread. I just went along with it, and before I knew it, Jamie had me in a ooey gooey mess of bananas! What a good friend.....no, no, I love her. She did offer to help, but I didn't see the need for two of us to be messy!

So I came home that night with two loaves of homemade banana bread. Let me tell you, it tastes even better when you made it yourself! The hard part is not diving into it right after you take it out of the oven. You need to let it sit over night so it will set well. Now for two days I have gotten to enjoy homemade banana bread. Makes you want some doesn't it?

October Night Reflections

My husband just said "okay, post your first blog." And I was like "great, now what do I write and what do I title it, and oh my, the pressure is on!" Okay, I know, I'm but dork, but hey that is me, right?

You'll find out all about me if you decide to read my blog on a regular basis. I plan to reserve this blog for encouragement and hope as I journey through life. I want to share what I learn as I walk through seasons in my life. We will see what happens. I'm a bit random sometimes.

Okay, a good meaningful blog will be on the way this week. Look for it!
